Day 3 – Radio Rut 2007
Today was like the ’60’s on XM Radio today.
Very interesting stuff…dude….
- Never thought about it before, but hearing the song "You’re Sixteen" which was probably mostly sweet and innocent (until it was recorded by Ringo Starr) now seem weird in a sort of creepy, pedophilia kind of way…
"You come on a like a dream, peaches and cream
Lips like strawberry wine
You’re sixteen, you’re beautiful and you’re mine"
They have a show by Wolfman Jack. The odd thing is that he died in 1995.
Petula Clark sang a song in German, that got played on the radio.
Hugh Masekela had a song called "Grazing in the Grass," in which he certainly used more cowbell.
