Walking down the same road…

There was an interesting article in the New York Times today about epilepsy, and the stigma it can bring. Especially intriguing since the family highlighted, the Leitner’s live in Yardley, Pa., the town I grew up in.

In the details about their 12-year-old daughter, I saw so many similarities to the issues we go through in managing Suzie’s medicine, and doctors, and seizures, and vagus nerve stimulator, and therapies, and delays, and challenges, and funny looks from others, and questions, and all the other stuff that comes in being a kid with brain injury and seizures and too much other stuff.

In a funny way, it is encouraging to know that others are walking down the same road, and doing all the same juggling and deciding and praying that we are.
